Extreme fue una banda estadounidense de hard rock formada por el vocalista
Gary Cherone, el guitarrista Nuno Bettencourt, el bajista Pat Badger y el
baterista Paul Geary (posteriormente reemplazado por Mike Mangini, ex
Steve Vai). Sus únicos cuatro discos de estudio
(Extreme/Pornograffitti/III Sides To Every Story/Waiting For The
PunchLine) demostraban la gran calidad de este grupo que mezclaba el funk
con el metal. Marcó una etapa hasta su separación en 1996. Su gran éxito
fue el tema More Than Words. En el mes de noviembre de '07 anunciaron
desde su pagina en Myspace que se reunen para grabar un nuevo album y
realizar una gira mundial en '08.
